This was a project that would allow stores to book from stock directly from their local distribution centres as well as allowing the LDC's to manage their distribution direct to customers. My involvement was throughout the project life cycle.

Branch PC's - spring 1991 to spring 1992
Dixons replaced all the tills in all their Dixons and Curry's stores with PC's. My role was to design, build and support the mainframe interfaces for these PC's
BACS - summer 1990
Build of system to identify and extract CREDIT/DEBIT card information for eventual transfer to tape, bringing exposure to CARDPAC.

When I originally joined Dixons Stores Group I was based in their Edgware office. This eventually closed as all departments moved into the Ealing Head Office.
When the company eventually relocated to Hemel Hempstead I continued to commute from Aldershot in Hampshire for a few months until opting for voluntary redundancy.

At the time I was at DSG, the group comprised the following brands within the UK
