The EDS Systems Engineer Training course wss the starting point for all EDS employees. These trainees would have come from all walks of life and so the course made no assumptions about any prior knowledge or training.

This course covered a wide range of topics including:

  • TSO/ISPF
  • MVS JCL
  • various utilities such as IDCAMS and SORT
  • COBOL II programming language
  • Assembler programming language
  • structured programming design methodologies
