RBS Insurance comprises a number of well known brands.

At the time of joining, Direct Line was the principal brand in the RBS portfolio, but it had recently acquired the Churchill Insurance brand too.

I was employed as one of a large number of contractors who were working to integrate the two brands systems

  • Application changes and testing to integrate Churchill Insurance applications onto Direct Line Systems.
  • Documenting the CA-7 batch suites of various application systems into Visio flow diagrams.
  • Documenting the online screens of the various appliacation systems into PowerPoint diagrams.
  • Combining the above documentation into HTML.
  • GENER/OL library maintenance
    • resolving record layout discrepancies as part of a move to single source code libraries.
    • Testing post migration
  • Developing and maintaining Excel spreadsheets for statistical analysis.
  • Business As Usual program and job changes;
    • Requirements analysis;
    • Testing at Unit level
