Aprilia Tuono

The Aprilia Tuono is a naked motorcycle manufactured by Aprilia from 2002. It is based on the Aprilia RSV Mille. Its successor, the Aprilia RSV1000R superbike shares its engine, gearbox, frame and, partly, its suspension. The Tuono was succeeded by the Aprilia Tuono V4 R for model year 2011, though the V2 model continued in production into the 2011 model year.

Ducati

In 1926 Antonio Cavalieri Ducati and his three sons, Adriano, Marcello, and Bruno, founded Società Scientifica Radiobrevetti Ducati (SSR Ducati) in Bologna to produce vacuum tubes, condensers and other radio components. In 1935 they had become successful enough to enable construction of a new factory in the Borgo Panigale area of the city. Production was maintained during World War II, despite the Ducati factory being a repeated target of Allied bombing. It was finally destroyed by around 40 Consolidated B-24 Liberators on 12 October 1944 as part of the United States Army Air Forces's Operation Pancake, which involved some 700 aircraft flying from airfields in the Province of Foggia.

Honda CB750

The CB750 is the best selling superbike ever. Announced at the 1968 Tokyo Show, it was Honda’s first four-cylinder production motorcycle and caused an immediate sensation. Initially, the demand in the United States was so great that few found their way into Britain. Marketed to compete directly with BSA and Triumph triples, the new Honda was a bitter blow to a faltering British bike industry.

As early as 1970, a factory-backed team was entered in the Daytona 200. Despite strong opposition from BSA, Triumph and Harley Davidson, Dick Mann won, averaging 102.69mph/165.26kph.

Only 36 of the rare KO version were sold in the United Kingdom.

Honda CBR 900 Fireblade

First introduced in 1992, the Honda CBR 900RR Fireblade soon dominated the market for high performance sports bikes, the so-called hyper-sports class, and became a top seller.

For 1996 capacity and performance were further increased, whilst refinements to the frame and suspension design resulted in greater rider comfort and improved handling. Despite an expensive price tag the Fireblade continued to outsell its rivals.
